Venice Film Festival

Venice Film Festival is the oldest film festival in the world. . Screenings take place at various cinemas, but the centre of the action is the Lido area.  The 67th Venice Film Festival will run 1st to 11th September 2010, directed by Marco Müller. The Festival will include competitive and out of competition sections, in addition to retrospective sections and those autonomously organized. It is one of the world's most prestigious film festivals and is part of the Venice Biennale, a major biennial exhibition and festival for contemporary art.
The official line-up of the 67th edition will be announced in a press conference that will take place in Rome at the end of July 2010.
The Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement will be awarded to Asian and Hollywood director and producer, John Woo.
