Venice

The city of Venice, also called “La Serenissima”, literally translated "The Most Serene," is an terrific cityscape of stone palaces that seem to float on water. Venice is a living, breathing, singular city that seems almost too exquisite to be genuine, too fragile to survive the never-ending stream of visitors. It is also a city of great art and grand old masters. Venetian painting featured early masters such as the Bellini clan, Giorgione, Titian, Paolo Veronese, and Tintoretto. Gondolas are one of Venice’s most famous symbols worldwide. This typical Venetian boat is extremely ancient and is the result of a series of extremely complex craft techniques. We recommend you visit the Squero  at San Trovaso where gondolas are still made today by the master craftsmen using the ancient techniques.
