Bay of Venice
If you think, that this stripe of Gulf means only the splendid city on the “Laguna”, as the Italian are used to call Venice, then you are completely wrong. Beside Venice, including the smaller islands of Murano, Torcello, San Francesco del Deserto and Burano, there are several cities and sites to visit, offering different environments and recreation activities. Lido di Jesolo at a few kilometres from the enchanting Venice, with its 15 kilometres of fine dolomite sand, accommodates every year over 10 millions of visitors who spend their holidays making excursions in the greenery of the pinewood and in the enchanting valleys of the lagoon. In the southern part of Veneto, laying in the Po Valley, the province of Rovigo, mostly occupied by Polesine and crossed by two remarkable rivers Po and Adige. An exceptional land where a dense network of canals, drainage units, reclaimed lands and geometric plantations coexist with nature. The Po Delta is situated on the coasts of the Adriatic Sea; it is an unknown land to be explored, in order to discover any hidden corner of this pretty and charming landscape where woods, pine forests, oasis and cane fields coexist with history and art.
